The
Institute for Local Government Legal Studies (ILGS)
was created in 1968 as the Municipal Legal Studies Center.
Since that time, the practice of local government law
has grown in importance and complexity.
The
Institute's goal was, and is, to provide programs that
help to improve the professional skills of men and women
who face the tough legal questions challenging our nation's
communities.
With
leadership from its Advisory Board, the Institute is
in a period of dramatic program growth. The centerpiece
of the Institute's programs continues to be the Annual
Program on Planning, Zoning and Eminent Domain, one
of the pre-eminent land use seminars in the United States.
The
Institute is itself a membership center, and the principal
benefit of membership is a reduction in program tuition
charges. Members may send as many as representatives
as they wish to the Annual Program on Planning, Zoning
and Eminent Domain at a price that is less than half
the regular rate. |
